Feast Day Mass going ahead – on a smaller scale

We are delighted to announce that the Feast Day Mass will take place on Monday 13th December 2021 at 7.30 pm.  Bishop David Oakley of Northampton has kindly agreed to be our Principal Celebrant.

This year we are not as restricted as we were at the Feast Day Mass in 2020, however we cannot accommodate the normal congregation which numbers around 300.  Also due to prevailing conditions, sadly we are unable to hold our usual reception at St Frances Cabrini church hall.  The reception room at the Shrine – the Guild Room – has a limited capacity and therefore on this occasion we will unfortunately not be able to offer refreshments to all who attend this Mass.  We hope that people will understand and we hope to hold our usual reception again in future years.

We have sent out a limited number of formal invitations to those people who attended in previous years, and they, along with the Guardians of the Shrine and a local congregation, will form the 100 people we can safely accommodate.  We would, of course, anticipate that not everyone invited will be able to join us.  If on the other hand you have not received an invitation and would like one, please contact our Guest Co-Ordinator Barbara Kay on mbky3@outlook.com.

Radio Maria are planning to broadcast the Feast Day Mass to their listeners nationally and will be leading Holy Rosary starting at 7 pm. If you are able to arrive early, you are all most welcome to unite with these prayers.

Equally if you are unable to attend on the evening, you may wish to tune into Radio Maria and join in with the Feast Day Mass celebrations that way.
