Huge Success of Croydon Pilgrimage Visit

Service of Reception and Mass

Father Scanlon

The Guardians are delighted to report yet another successful pilgrimage visit, this time to St Mary’s, West Croydon where more than 5,000 people attended, some from as far away as Margate and Canterbury.   This figure included around 250 children and young people from the Catholic schools in the Croydon area.  Many other people followed the pilgrimage visit via the internet.

Many pilgrims donated generously, and the total of sales from the repository were the highest ever.  The team was made very welcome by Parish Priest Father Michael Scanlon, his team of clergy and parishioners.  As always, the Knights of St Columba gave enormous support.

One of the highlights of the pilgrimage visit was a very moving Healing Service, and more details about this and the rest of the pilgrimage visit will follow.
